Section of Force and Pressure Measurement performs force and pressure measurements.

The laboratory carries out verification and/or calibration of:

· Force measuring instruments using dynamometer, torque spanner, load cells, hydraulic pressure, hardness tester, material strength testing machine;

· Pressure measuring instruments using manometers, vacuum meters, sphygmomanometers, micromanometers, “Petrov” measuring devices, pressure calibrators, draft and flow indicators;

Working scope

Calibration:

- In sphere accredited by LATAK with No. K-254

§ Manometers and vacuum meters (-0,8 ÷ 60) Mpa ; acc.cl. 0,1; 0,15; 0,25; 0,4; 0,6; 1; 1,6; 2,5; 4

- In non accredited sphere:

§ Force measurements

§ sphygmomanometers, micromanometers, “Petrov” measuring devices, pressure calibrators, draft and flow indicators.

Verification:

- In sphere accredited by LATAK No. I-339

§ Manometers and vacuum meters (-0,8 ÷ 60) Mpa ; acc.cl. 1; 1,6; 2,5; 4

§ sphygmomanometers

Necessary consultations and information about methods of calibration/ verification can be received at the head of the laboratory.

On 10 December, 2004, an application to LATAK was submitted for accreditation.
